Social Matters

  • The gulf between rich and poor continues to grow resulting in members of our society being left behind. Social injustice is not an argument for wealth re-distribution but, rather, an acceptance that all in our society must contribute and not leave it to someone else.

  • The social cancers such as bullying, homelessness, drugs, domestic violence, extremism, racism etc are too many to try and address here. We need to take a step back and understand that we live in a society and not an economy and, as such, we need to put a value on matters and not just a price.
  • I support Same Sex Marriage.
  • I believe in the separation between Church & State. I have no issue with someone following a religion for their spiritual guidance. However, I do have a problem with someone wanting to force their beliefs on others. We are a secular state and religious interference should not be tolerated.
